Summer Picnic – White Elephant Auction – August Terrace Park in Arlington

All members are asked to bring a “White Elephant” item (you-don’t-want-it-but-someone-else-might) to our member-pot-luck-picnic at Terrace Park in Arlington, WA.  Hamburgers and hot dogs are provided by the club.  Our after-meal entertainment is provided by a club-member-auctioneer who will do the honor and try to “unload” or rather convince someone in our picnic audience that they “can’t do without” a particular White Elephant item.  All proceeds go to the Scholarship fund. Loads of fun and laughs had by all!

Usually held on a Saturday in December before Christmas, set-up begins around 9:30 AM  – 10:30 AM, with club members helping to set up the tables and the décor.  Other members arrive by 11:30 AM with the rest of the Christmas potluck lunch/dinner.  The club provides the various meats and we all sit down around noon. The program varies.  Clean up is also handled by the club members and everything is usually wrapped up by 3-4 pm.
